Revolution Pittsburgh 2018-2019 Try-out and  Competition Information

The staff at Revolution Pittsburgh is looking forward to the 2018-2019 season. At Revolution Volleyball Club, our purpose it to build up the hearts, minds and bodies of young people. The length of a club volleyball season provides the opportunity for each individual athlete and team to demonstrate growth in a variety of areas (i.e., athleticism, sport-specific techniques, volleyball “IQ,” and intangibles). These four pillars serve as a design framework for both practice and competition. We are proud of the girls for their hard work and success for the past two years. We also appreciate and value the relationships that developed between the athletes, parents and staff. These are important elements of the overall program.

Team Projections:

Revolution Pittsburgh is planning to support one team at the 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 age groups that compete at the open level. It is possible that an additional team could form based on tryouts and interest.  Decisions about the final composition of teams would be made after try-outs. Approximately 8-10 tournaments will be scheduled (i.e., one -day, two-day and three-day), some teams will be pursing attendance at AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida.

Try-out Details:

Try-outs are open to all girls with a passion for this sport. Regardless of any prior club affiliation, the try-out process will be designed to field the most competitive teams possible and also sustain the four pillars identified in the philosophy. Past participation at Revolution does not guarantee a future opportunity. All athletes are encouraged to try-out at various clubs in Pittsburgh to ensure the best possible fit.
