Lydia Bauer

Lydia Bauer enters her first season with Revolution, while coaching numerous athletes, 10 – 18 years old, for two years at Shippensburg University. A junior on the Shippensburg University Volleyball Team, Lydia has been a key reserve member of the team who has amassed a 51-15 match record (2018-2019). Lydia’s excellent verbal direction, patience and positive affirmation, as both a coach and teammate, makes all individuals around her better players. At the prep level, she earned two varsity letters at Northern Burlington Regional High School. Lydia competed for East Coast Crush Volleyball Club. She was honored as a Central Division First Team All-Star and the All-County Second Team, totaling 137 kills as a senior and 72 blocks as a junior. Lydia also played soccer. While at Shippensburg, Lydia is majoring in mid-level education with a concentration math and language arts.

Maria Lucas

Maria enters her 1st season coaching at Revolution, 4th season overall. At the prep level, Maria earned four varsity letters for the Butler Area High School Golden Tornado, coached by her mother Meghan Lucas. A two-year captain, Maria was named to the WPIAL All-Section First Team and WPIAL Big 56 First Team, totaling 197 kills, 311 digs and 45 aces as a senior. Maria spent the spring as an assistant volleyball coach at her alma mater. She played club volleyball for 7 years, 4 years at Renaissance VBC and her last 3 with Revolution Pittsburgh. At Revolution, her teams qualified for USAV 16U and 17U Nationals and attended AAU Nationals at 18s. Maria received a Scholar-Athlete award while compiling a 3.7 GPA and was selected to the Athletic Leadership Summit. Maria also competed in track & field, throwing the javelin at Butler. At Shippensburg University as a freshman in 2019, Maria played in 31 matches as a defensive specialist and serving specialist in her debut season. Participating in 77 sets, she ranked sixth on the team with 133 digs, averaging 1.7 digs per set and finished sixth on the team with 15 service aces. Maria contributed five or more digs in nine matches, including double-digit digs in five matches and a season-high 24 digs at West Liberty, serving at least one ace in nine matches, including multiple aces in five matches and a season-high three aces versus Fairmont State. She also totaled 12 assists. Shippensburg finished the season with a 26-7 match record. Maria is a sophomore at Shippensburg University majoring in Elementary Education.

Caitlin Vrabel

Caitlin Vrabel is entering her first year of club coaching after assisting with both Junior High level teams as well as assisting various age groups at Pitt Johnstown’s summer volleyball camps. Caitlin was a 4-year varsity letter winner with the Chambersburg Area Senior High School Girl’s volleyball team. During her time she was a 1st team All Conference and All County Selection as well as two time Linganore Maryland Tournament MVP. Caitlin played for Revolution Volleyball Club in Chambersburg for 4 years. Caitlin competed collegiately for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Lady Cats from 2016-2019 as a middle hitter. She helped to lead her team to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship in 2017, and two NCAA Division 2 Tournaments. Caitlin was a captain her junior and senior year at Pitt Johnstown and graduated as a three time scholar athlete and two time PSAC 2nd Team selection. Since graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Caitlin is a Registered Nurse at UPMC in a Cardiothoracic Surgery Step Down Care Unit.

Nakita Pasek

Nakita (Gearhart) Pasek arrives at Revolution after a distinguished four-year career with perennial Division III power Juniata College. With the Eagles, Pasek finished as a three-time AVCA All-American, three-time Landmark Conference Most Valuable Player, four-time AVCA All-Region performer and four-time Landmark Conference First Team All Star. Her impressive career totals include 1,069 career kills, a .320 hitting percentage, 300 digs, 280 blocks and 70 service aces. As a 2016 AVCA First Team All-American, Pasek finished with career highs of 299 kills, 84 digs and 34 aces. She was also named to the 2016 NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team after producing 29 kills and hitting .345 during the NCAA Tournament. A native of Waynesboro, Pasek is a 2013 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. With the Blue Devils, Pasek was a three-time Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association ‘AA’ All-State selection and a four-time Capital Division First Team performer who earned Capital Division Player of the Year honors as a junior in 2012. She competed at the club level for Revolution (Chambersburg) for five years. In 2017, Pasek was an assistant coach at Shippensburg University, where the team complied a 21-12 record, advancing to the PSAC Conference Championship and qualifying for the NCAA D2 Tournament. Pasek earned her bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-med from Juanita in 2017 and earned her RN bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in 2020. She is married to John Pasek and is employed at Allegheny General Hospital.
