Ellie Burns17 White Co-Head Coach
Ellie Burns is entering her 6th year of club volleyball coaching. As a prep athlete, Ellie was a 4-year member of Clarion Area High School’s volleyball team from 2009-2012. During that time, she led her team to four KSAC titles, four District IX titles, two State Runner-Up titles, and one State Championship in 2012. Ellie was named captain during her junior and senior year and earned the honors of two-time KSAC 1st team (2011 and 2012), KSAC MVP (2012), two time District IX 1st team (2011 and 2012), District IX MVP (2012), and two-time 1st team All-State (2011 and 2012). She played club volleyball for 9 years at various clubs (Bandits, Clovers, TVC, P3R); however, the last three years were with Pittsburgh Elite VBC. Ellie completed collegiately for the University of Pittsburgh Women’s team. She then used her fifth year at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she led the team to one of the most successful seasons since 2002 with a Southwest section title and a top 32 finish in the NCAA Division 2 Tournament. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is currently working for North Allegheny School district as a speech-language pathologist and coach. Prior to coaching at NA, Ellie was the varsity assistant/JV head at Moon Area School District during the 2019 season. Ellie currently coaches at North Allegheny with the middle school girls’ volleyball team, and assists with NA high school varsity and JV teams as well. Ellie currently resides in Mt. Washington with her fiancé Evan.
