Julie MillerBusiness & Technical Advisor
Julie enters her 12th season with Revolution, and her 24th year of coaching overall. Julie currently serves as a business and technical advisor for the club. Julie has been assigned to Revolution’s 15’s, 16’s, 17’s and 18’s teams in past seasons. Julie grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and played at North Allegheny High School for legendary coach, Bob Miller, who is also her father. Julie competed collegiately for the Penn State Women’s team from 1988-1992 under Coach Russ Rose. Upon graduation, Julie moved into the Division 1 coaching ranks, beginning a 12-year span at that level. She started her career as an assistant coach at The College of William & Mary, followed by University of Houston and a return to Penn State University. At Penn State, from 2001-2006, the team won back-to-back Big Ten Championships and she had an active role in recruiting the players who went on to win four consecutive National Championships. In addition to serving as Revolution’s business and technical advisor, Julie currently conducts individual and small group instruction and has coached in summer camps and clinics for 25 years in an effort to expose young players to the exciting sport of volleyball, and grow the game as much as possible.
